IKA e-Hive provides a ‘Constant Voltage’ screening platform (max. voltage = 25 V) with a maximum of 24 simultaneous reactions (without individual controls).

This efficient screening tool is recommended for early-stage reaction discovery. For example, to quickly sort possible entries, e-Hive can run 24 reactions with different substrates under desired reaction conditions. A substrate will be considered promising as long as the desired product structure is observed from chemical analysis. For further optimization, users are advised to upgrade promising reactions to the Single Vial Attachment or Carousel platforms.

Note that high yields of desired reactions are not guaranteed on the e-Hive platform. The product yield on e-Hive indicates the desired transformation susceptibility for each substrate. Users are advised to plan further experiments accordingly.
The e-Hive package is equipped with outer stainless steel electrodes (24 pieces), inner graphite electrodes (24 pieces), and 24 mini stir bars. When the voltage value is set positive, the inner electrode acts as the anode and the outer electrode acts as the cathode. The polarity is opposite when the voltage value is set negative. Inner and outer electrodes made of different materials can also be purchased separately.
e-Hive can be integrated with the ElectraSyn 2.0 App, with the latest ElectraSyn 2.0 device software. Spare parts can be purchased upon request.
