Description
Semiconductor fuse blocks accept high-speed semiconductor and UL Class T fuses for very-fast-acting protection against short circuits in solid-state devices. Sometimes called rectifier fuse blocks, they're commonly used to protect power electronics components in variable-speed drives, power rectifiers, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), and electric-vehicle charging stations. These blocks stay cool by dissipating heat produced by resistance in the fuse-holder clips. They have an open top for access to fuses, studs for securing fuses within the block, and terminals for connecting to circuits. Their split-block design features an adjustable, two-piece base to accommodate different fuse lengths.
