Description
GMRS personal radios operate on General Mobile Radio Service in a small range of the ultra-high frequency (UHF) band to coordinate indoor and outdoor group activities. They enable communication for vehicle caravans, camping, farming, sporting events, field trips, and similar pursuits that don't require the wider frequency range, more advanced features, and heavier duty construction of UHF business radios. These two-way radios transmit and receive messages over radio frequencies that work where cellular coverage may be spotty, overloaded, or unavailable. They can talk with Family Radio Service (FRS) when set to the same channel.
