Corrosion-resistant light-duty standard plate casters have stainless-steel frames that resist rusting, making them suitable for applications where the casters will be exposed to water, steam, cleaning chemicals, washdowns, and saltwater spray. The casters mount onto the bottom of carts, dollies, tables, and similar equipment that will be moved manually at moderate speeds. Sometimes called institutional plate casters, these light-duty standard plate casters are best suited for applications where they will be transporting relatively light loads along smooth, flat surfaces and won't encounter shock loading, such as laundry rooms, laboratories, food-processing plants, restaurants, medical buildings, and plant nurseries.
