Tokyo Glass Kikai (TGK) Coated Slide Glasses

Adhesive strength that can withstand treatments such as immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization, where exfoliation is likely to occur. We have developed our own coating agent that has the two major features of hydrophilicity on the surface of the coating. The coating agent covalently bonds with the OH groups on the glass surface to form a coating film. The chemically stable amino group imparts a positive charge to the glass surface, and the amino group density is higher than that of the APS coat, improving the cell / tissue section adhesion. In particular, it has strong adhesiveness to heat treatment such as microwave autoclave treatment on frozen sections where peeling is likely to occur, and effective results have been confirmed in alkaline treatment as compared to APS coating. In order to improve the stretchability of tissue sections, MAS coated slide glass has improved adhesive strength and hydrophilicity on the coated surface. This enables normal stretching work, has better drainage between the glass surface and the tissue section compared to the APS coat, and can shorten the drying time.
