Polymaker PolyCast is a special PVB-based filament designed for creating investment mold for metal casting with high precision, within shorter lead time and with lower cost; and eliminates unnecessary tooling required when creating traditional wax mold. The PolyCast will completely evaporated after burnout process at 600C, and leaves an ash residue less than 0.003%; which is a remarkably clean burnout result for cleaner & higher precision casting.
The PolyCast can also be polished using alcohol/IPA using Polymaker's Polysher or similar machine, so that details from the polished 3D printed object will transfer well to the metal casting result, potentially making post processing easier after the casting process.
