Beef Extract is a dehydrated extract of bovine tissue used to prepare microbiological culture media. It is usually used to replace infusion of meat. Beef Extract can be used as an ingredient of dehydrated culture media and need dissolution in distilled or deionized water and sterilization by autoclaving. The product does not contain hazardous substances in concentrations exceeding the limits set by current legislation and therefore is not classified as dangerous. It is nevertheless recommended to consult the safety data sheet for its correct use.
