Description
Sikacrete W is a microsilica-based additive for underwater concrete. It is formulated with silica fume and special additives and it greatly enhances concrete cohesion thereby reducing washout.
Feature
Contains ultra-fine particles of sub-micron size which, when in contact with mixing water, form a viscous paste that significantly improves concrete cohesion- Suitable for use with all types of cement
- Contains special anti-washout additives
Use
Sikacrete W inhibits separation of the fine elements (cement + fines), a phenomenon that occurs in ordinary concrete. Sikacrete W is therefore suitable for all water-exposed concreting work such as:- Embankment reinforcement
- Dyke construction and repair
- Underwater slabs (example, in navigation locks)
- Building pits
- Foundation piles
