The TianLong SARS-CoV-2 Nucleic Acid Detection Kit is intended for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid by Real-time reverse transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-time RT-PCR) method.

Intended Use: TianLong SARS-CoV-2 Nucleic Acid Detection Kit is intended for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid by Real-time reverse transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-time RT-PCR) method.
Principle of Test: The assay is designed to target the well conserved regions of RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) and N protein genes, for the mostly consistent assay performance over the course of epidemic evolvement in spite of the mutation prone nature of RNA viruses.
Storage Condition & Validity: All reagents should be stored at the temperature between –25°C to –15°C in non-frost-free freezer for use before expiration date. Freeze/Thaw more than three times should be avoided during kit usage period. The reagents should be shipped at the temperature between -25°C to 8°C.
Applicable Instrument: It is recommended to use detection kit with Real-time PCR thermal cyclers with appropriate fluorescence reading channels for FAM, VIC (HEX), Cy5 dyes, e.g. Applied Biosystems™ 7500 Real-Time PCR Systems, TianLong Gentier real time PCR systems, etc.
Sample Requirements:
1. Specimen: Nasopharyngeal swab, sputum and alveolar lavage fluid.
2. Specimen collection: For specific methods of specimen collection, please refer to the Microbiological Specimen Collection Manual.
3. Storage: Keep at 2-8ºC for no more than 24 hours; keep at -20ºC±5ºC for no more than 3 months; keep at below -70ºC for long-term storage, but repeated freezing and thawing shall be avoided.
4. Transportation: Transport it with a foam box filled with ice bags, and keep the box tightly closed.
