Pull out or push in the filter stick to select from sodium (Na), potassium (K), lithium (Li), calcium (Ca), or barium (Ba) filters. The sample solution is aspirated into the flame, emitting a wavelength of light; the intensity of the light is proportional to the concentration of the atom in the solution. A photodetector measures the light and indicates the result on the digital display.
Features include auto ignition and flame optimization, LED indicators for selected filter, digital display with hold button, recorder output, and fail-safe flame detection with auto shutoff. Spill-containment front tray is easily removed for quick cleanup. The mixing chamber, burner head, and burner stem are disassembled without tools for easy maintenance.
