Canson Conservation Backing Board

Canson Conservation Backing Boards Untextured cardboards that have been laminated together in multiple plies using neutral glue, they are easy to cut. They are acid-free, have an alkaline buffer and comply with the ISO 9706 conservation standard, they have no optical whitener and have been treated against mould. Our Canson Conservation Backing Boards are available in a number of thicknesses and in 3 colours : a black, a pure white and an antique white which is particularly suited for prints, engravings and ancient documents. Canson Conservation is also proposed as board lined with off-white Kraft for use as a direct backing. One white side (in contact with the artwork), the other lined with (acidic) Kraft paper, the board being thick enough to act as a protection.
