Volkel Thread Repair Kit

This product is a thread repair kit for restoring a damaged internal thread with wire thread inserts for controlled thread repair in M 10 x 1.5. The kit logic matters because drilling or preparation, STI tapping, insert installation, and final checking must fit the same repair size.

Metric thread selection is based on nominal diameter and pitch, so both values must match the screw connection or drawing. The kit should be selected by the component thread, available wall thickness, and the required installation workflow. Keep the setup controlled by checking alignment, chip removal, seating position, and final thread engagement.

Step:
- Compare M 10 x 1.5 with the component drawing or the original fastener before selecting the kit.
- Remove contamination and damaged thread material from the repair area.
- Use the preparation tool from the kit sequence while keeping the tool aligned with the original axis.
- Tap the receiving thread with the matching STI tap from the repair system.
- Clean the prepared thread before the insert touches the component.
- Drive the insert into the thread with the installation tool specified for the kit.
- Finish the installation step by removing the tang if required.
- Verify smooth screw engagement and document the repair where your process requires traceability.
