These negative voltage regulators are available in the same seven voltage options as the MC7800. The negative MC7900 series also offers one additional voltage option commonly used in MECL systems. These linear voltage regulators are available in fixed output voltage options from -5.0V to -24V and feature current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation, making them extremely rugged under most operating conditions. With adequate heat sinking, output currents in excess of 1.0 A are possible. No external components are required. Internal thermal overload protection. Internal short-circuit current limiting. Output transistor safe operating area compensation. 2% voltage tolerance available (see ordering information). Lead-free packaging may be available. Lead-free lead finish.
