IP ratings classify the degree of protection provided to electrical enclosures against the ingress of solid objects (including body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact and water.

Can I use this enclosure outdoors? This enclosure is rated IP54, which only provides protection against jets of water, so it is not recommended for outdoor use.
