The standards indicate protection against foreign objects such as dust and water.
The rating consists of the letters IP followed by a two-digit number (IP65).
The first number represents the level of protection you get against solids.
The second number indicates the degree of water protection provided to the equipment inside the enclosure.
Example: IP54 = The first digit (5) indicates limited protection against solid objects and dust.
