IP ratings classify the degree of protection provided to electrical enclosures against the ingress of solid objects (including body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact and water.

Can I use this enclosure outdoors? The enclosure is IP40 rated and only protects against dust and foreign objects.
This enclosure does not protect against the ingress of any form of liquid or moisture, therefore it is not recommended to use this product outdoors.
Also, if you are using it indoors, we recommend not using it in places where it will be exposed to high humidity or liquids.
