Features and Benefits:. Insulated Splice Connectors Quick Splice IDC Wire Splice Connectors are constructed from brass with color-coded nylon insulation. Quick splice method allows for quick and easy wire connection. Various wire sizes. Maximum electrical rating: 105°C 600V. Terminal material - Phosphorus. Typical Applications:. Splice terminals are used in a variety of industrial, commercial and domestic applications.
Splice Connectors: Used to quickly splice or connect multiple wires.
This splice is typically crimped or soldered, so the power being conducted from the source cable to the next cable is transferred with unacceptable conductivity and pull-out resistance performance levels.
It is used in most places where electrical connections are required.
Typical applications include: Industrial control systems, Automotive/transport sector, Machine building, Electrical/electronics, Commercial and household appliances. Frequently asked questions: Is there a crimping tool that can be used to crimp the connectors? Any good quality ratcheting or pliers tool designed to crimp the terminals will suffice.
RS PRO offers a wide range of reliable, cost-effective tools.
For crimping tools ; ; ; ; see part numbers 241-4710, 445-611, 534-806, and 445-885.
What is the difference between non-insulated and insulated crimping tools? Non-insulated crimping tools are used for general purpose applications, while insulated crimping tools are VDE tested up to 1000 V and are designed for use where electrical current is present.
