Description
Eaton DLIMS Series Safety Contacts
Eaton's DILMS series safety contactors provide reliable switching in safety-related device applications. DILMS safety contactors come standard with a top-mounted auxiliary contact to deter tampering and prevent manual actuation. This contact is non-removable. For added safety, the contactors incorporate mirrored contacts and interlocking opposing contacts. An inspection window is built in just above the switch position indicator, making it easy to monitor the operating status of your control system at any time. The contactors are fitted with a yellow cover for quick and efficient identification of safety devices. The contactors' reliable design makes them an ideal solution for protecting devices from manual activation. Available in four sizes, the DILMS series contactors cover a power range from 7 to 150 A. The series also offers LAS safety relays in three coil voltages to complete your safety system.
Features and Benefits Safe state monitoring of contactors (inspection window) Cannot be manually initiated Can be used for controlled emergency stop applications Start (Category 4) Reliable self-monitoring machine control circuitry Interlocking of opposing contacts Mirroring contacts Highlighted in yellow (RAL1004) Reliable screw terminals Top-mounted, non-removable auxiliary contacts (front)
Typical ApplicationsContactors are used in many applications. These contactors are also important elements in factory automation and control, rail transportation, electrical systems, electric motors, lighting and mechanical engineering They are used wherever a safety function or protection of equipment or users is requiredDo I need a safety contactor or a safety relayWhen deciding whether to use a contactor or a relay for a safety circuit, there are some general rules to make the decision easier:Contactors should be used when the current is 9 A or more, up to 1000 V ac, and can be used in one or three phase safety applications.Contactors should be used when the current is 10 A or less, up to 250 V ac, and can typically be used in single phase safety applications.
