The MELSEC iQ-F series is equipped with a CPU capable of high-speed processing with an instruction operation speed (LD instruction) of 34ns. It also supports structured programs, execution of multiple programs, ST language, and FB. When using remote I/O (CC-Link, AnyWireASLINK, and Bitty series), up to 512 points can be controlled. By connecting a simple motion module, positioning compatible with SSCNET Ⅲ/H is possible. A variety of applications can be supported by combining linear interpolation, 2-axis circular interpolation, fixed-pitch feed, and continuous trajectory control with a table-based program. It has a built-in 12-bit 2-channel analog voltage input and 1-channel analog voltage output. No programming is required, and it can be used with just parameter settings. Numeric shifts, scaling settings, and alarm output settings can also be easily set with parameters. The Ethernet port supports communication with up to 8 connections on the network, allowing connection to computers and devices. It also supports seamless SLMP communication with higher-level devices. It has a built-in RS-485 port, allowing communication with Mitsubishi Electric general-purpose inverters up to 50m and up to 16 units (controllable with 6 inverter-specific commands). It also supports MODBUS functions, and can connect up to 32 stations with MODBUS-compatible devices such as sequencers, sensors, and temperature controllers. It has a built-in SD memory card slot, which is convenient for program updates and mass production of equipment. Data can also be logged to the SD memory card, which is useful for analyzing the status of the equipment and production status. The MELSEC iQ-F series achieves high-speed system bus communication of 1.5K words/ms (approximately 150 times faster than FX3U) along with a high-speed CPU. It can maximize its capabilities even when using intelligent function units with a large amount of communication data. It is equipped with a RUN/STOP/RESET switch. It is efficient because it can be restarted without turning off the power even during debugging. Security functions (block password, file password, remote password, security key authentication) prevent data theft, tampering, incorrect operation, and unauthorized execution due to unauthorized access by third parties.
