The pointer and carbide contact point are weakly magnetic. They are not easily affected by magnetic environments. We also have a lineup of models with ruby (non-magnetic) contact points. The ruby contact point has the advantage of being several times more wear-resistant than carbide alloys, and because it is a non-conductive material, it can be used safely with EDM machines.
The scale uses a universal font, and the scale color and the relationship between the needle and scale line thickness have been revised to greatly improve visibility. The length of the measuring probe is shown on the scale with an illustration.
The Ooi board has a flat surface that does not reflect external light. In addition, it is coated to prevent scratches, dirt, and reflections.
The integrated structure of the outer frame and scale plate prevents cutting fluid and oil from entering through the front of the scale plate and gaps. (However, it is not waterproof.)
A Φ6 dovetail stem (standard accessory) can be attached to the three dovetails on the main body. The attachment position can be adjusted according to the usage situation, greatly improving convenience.
Finished product inspections are conducted based on JIS B7533: 2015. Vertical/tilted/perpendicular types are inspected with the dial surface facing up, and horizontal types are inspected with the dial surface vertical to guarantee precision.
