PFERD Polinox

POLINOX unmounted grinding wheels consist of non-woven polyamide abrasive, into which abrasive grain is integrated. The non-woven abrasive flaps are arranged radially. A long tool life is achieved through the dense packing of the flaps.
This tool is mainly used for work on large surfaces.
Advantages :
Highly flexible, enabling optimal adjustment to the contour.
Cool grinding and low thermal load on the workpiece.
The open structure and high flexibility of the non-woven material prevents tool clogging.
Recommendations for use :
For the best results, use at a recommended cutting speed of 10-20 m/s. This provides an ideal compromise between stock removal rate, surface quality, thermal load on the workpiece and tool wear.
